To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the online genealogy database Íslandingabók (Book of Icelanders), we at deCODE genetics decided to hold a competition among university students to create an APP so that the database would be accessible on mobile devises. The competition was held in cooperation with the University of Iceland and was open to all university students in Iceland as well as Icelandic university students abroad.
